Plot announcement, check-in results, and survey

Hello players! We would like to congratulate everyone for doing such a good job getting the game going and creating rich lore and relationships between characters. The game is very successful so far and we are excited to begin offering mod plots to jump start more relationships between characters and more events. 

The first mod plot will commence on June 15th and will feature a threat from a neighboring city-state. The government of 2AN21BR, or Zanzibar, will accuse Charon corporation of developing a new plague chemical and will claim to be preparing a preemptive drone strike against the city of Gulch to prevent their city from coming under attack. In response, Charon will call upon residents of the city to rally and defend the city against false accusations. Characters will have the opportunity to volunteer to spot incoming drones, or to travel to the city of Zanzibar on a fact-finding mission.

All players responded to check-in and no one will be swept from the game. 

Up until now, we have been allowing the game to become established. However, it may be time to consider recruiting more players via the community called app-this-plz. Ads go up June 27th, which gives us time to create an ad and compile a list of wanted characters. 

Please respond below with your opinion of whether we should post an add on app-this-plz this month.

Here is a Grif.

Grif generally doesn't like getting involved with stuff because that always means trouble for him (#blueteamproblems or #freelancerproblems in this case). Regardless, he is available for things.

Ideally, he'll be happy to sit somewhere and watch for drones and be lazy. But he can also be hired for driving duty to Zanzibar. (Please note the second option will result in the Red Team theme song being played loudly and obnoxiously. Because that's how Red Team rolls).

I know there's a train system, but if anybody needs a ride or help coordinating a mission, this is right up Oquirrh's alley.

Roxy would totally be going to Zanzibar. Probably without consulting anyone because she kind of does that. She may also be doing it in her RxoxV persona because secret identities man. (She...she might also feel guilty since she kiiiiind of did hack a bunch of Zanzibar's transport systems about severe weather warning and worry that there was a connection.)

Not that she believes Charon is innocent, but launching attacks on civilians isn't acceptable. =/ Plus you know, might be good to see what dirt Zanzibar DOES have on Charon, so many birds, not enough stones.

Though I would like to suggest maybe an info page explaining mercs and how they operate might be good. (Like i don't actually know why an unofficial person for hire needs certs.)

Does Charon do anything (according to public knowledge) other than make helmets? Is there a trend in the population of loving them, hating them, tolerating them? Is the mayor going to make an appearance or is this all going to be coordinated by Charon? Are there any other big helmet manufacturers widely available through the city, or is it more of a monopoly?

1. Known to make military stuff. Military is good, mercs maybe not? People hope their stuff don't end up in Merc hands. TOTALLY DOES.
2. I'd imagine them a bit like major computer companies like Windows or Apple. People lvoe or hate or tolerate depending on their opinions.
3. I think the major would coordinate with Charon in this because POLITICS.
4. Yes, there would be other helmet companies, but Charon holds the major part of the marketshare. Not QUITE a monopoly, but everyone knows their stuff is the best. That being said, because of the presence of a Charon helmet factory in the Gulch area, there is a bit of loyalty to the company.
